🏗️ PROGRESS UPDATE: THE GOSHEN HUB FOR SUSTAINABLE AGRO-ENTERPRISE 🏗️

The vision is taking shape on the ground in Eastern Uganda! Pastor Pius and our dedicated site crew have been hard at work setting the main structural pole framing for The Goshen Hub for Sustainable Agro-Enterprise (an initiative of Mercy of God Mission).

Just as Goshen was a sanctuary of refuge, provision, and abundance in scripture, this hub is being built to bring long-term food security, vocational skills training, and economic empowerment to local youth, widows, and vulnerable families in Namayingo.

As you can see in the video, string guide-lines and base protection treatment are ensuring these structures stand strong for years to come!

Headline: Progress in Motion at The Mercy Enterprise Hub! 🚜🌱

We are so proud to share the latest updates from Namayingo, Uganda! God is moving, and step by step, The Mercy Enterprise Hub is taking shape.

Today was filled with incredible milestone work on the ground:

Site Preparation: We cleared dense woods and treated termite ant hills across the property to lay a safe, solid foundation.

Shade & Comfort: We purchased tarps to build a temporary shade area so the dedicated women and team members have protection from the elements while working.

Building Momentum: We have timber on-site and ready to go!

As our work expands and the hub grows, we face two immediate, critical needs to keep our momentum safe and sustainable:

Iron Roofing Sheets: To build a sturdy, semi-permanent shade structure and a kitchen area where meals can be prepared daily for our entire Enterprise Team.

A Temporary Security Shelter: To house a dedicated security guard directly on-site so work can begin safely and immediately.

Every pillar erected and every square foot cleared brings us closer to long-term economic empowerment, vocational training, and community transformation in Namayingo. We want YOU to be a part of this journey!

A physical structure is just empty space until you have the people prepared to run it. 🏗️

As the engineering team on the ground in Namayingo treats and sets the structural poles for the new Mercy of God Mission community hub, our focus remains on more than just timber, soil, and termiticides. We are simultaneously organizing the human infrastructure required to turn that physical footprint into a sustainable, revenue-generating engine for the local economy.

That is why we have officially mobilized a dedicated group of 17 male and female volunteers 👥 who are stepping up to form our inaugural cohort.

By aligning this team right now, we are engineering a completely synchronized system. While the physical site—including the main production floor and essential sanitation facilities—is being built, our future workforce is locked in and ready. The moment the structure is near completion and the doors can open, these 17 individuals will dive directly into an intensive, two-week commercial bakery training program. 🍞

From the outset, this curriculum is not designed to be a basic home-cooking class. To effectively transition our model into a robust social enterprise 📈, our training methodology reflects strict market realities. They will learn how to manage high-volume production cycles, calculate raw input costs, maintain commercial hygiene standards, and execute a business model designed to scale.

Building a self-sustaining ecosystem 🌱 means aligning structural readiness with human capital. The foundations we are digging today are built to last, generate real market revenue, and drive long-term independence. The timber is being treated, the ground is being prepped, and our 17 volunteers are standing by, ready to get to work the moment the hub is complete.

At Mercy of God Mission (MGM), we are deeply committed to sustainable, data-driven development in East Africa. From our permanent 4-acre Community Hub in the Namayingo District, we are actively bridging critical infrastructure gaps by deploying solar micro-grids, managing climate-resilient agricultural initiatives, and providing localized vocational training.

To enhance our operational transparency and expand our impact, we are currently integrating new technological capacity into our hub:

Vocational & Digital Training: Providing hands-on digital skills for participants in our commercial bakery program and sewing cooperatives.

Data-Driven Impact: Utilizing offline-first digital data collection to track baseline field metrics and health outreach.

Sustainable Infrastructure: Scaling our solar cold-chain solutions and community development programs.

Mission Accomplished: Historic Community Mobilization in Namayingo, Uganda

Last week, the Mercy of God Mission successfully executed a massive, multi-day community engagement and leadership initiative in the Namayingo District of Uganda. The week’s events demonstrated the profound power of cross-border collaboration and community mobilization.

The mission commenced with a rigorous, two-day Leadership Training intensive designed specifically for local church and ministry leaders. This capacity-building forum focused on the core pillars of effective, impactful leadership, equipping local voices with the strategic tools necessary to drive sustainable transformation within their communities.

The initiative culminated in a grand finale crusade that drew many thousands of attendees from across the region, making it one of our most successful mobilizations to date.

An undertaking of this scale is only possible through dedicated partnerships. We extend our deepest gratitude to the distinguished civic and spiritual leaders who joined us:

Civic Leadership: A special thank you to the Mayor of Namayingo District and the District LC Chairman for honoring us with their presence and continued support of community development.

Regional Partners from Kenya: Pastor Daniel Muganda (Senior Pastor, Oasis Apostolic Church, Nairobi); Duncan Okaka (Founder of the Sidiki Organization, Nairobi), whose phenomenal 10+ years of NGO leadership and amazing work in vocational training aligns perfectly with our vision, and with whom we eagerly anticipate future collaborative partnerships; and Teacher Isaiah Oyugi, whose insights were invaluable to the leadership training.

What a phenomenal start! 🌍🙌 Day 1 of our Ugandan mission in Namayingo is officially in the books, and the momentum is already so strong.

We had an incredible opening day hosting our Special Guest Speaker, Pastor Daniel, at PAAHM Namayingo. The team led two powerful afternoon seminar sessions, followed by stepping directly into the community for door-to-door evangelism.

The report from the ground is absolutely beautiful:

✨ Over 30 people were prayed for, receiving healing and deliverance!
