Safer sidewalks are coming to the area around Aldine High School! ✅ The Gateway Improvement Program has been completed! For Phase 7, monument signage on Greens Road at W. Hardy Road was added to greet visitors entering the area from the east.

The District recently installed new street signs across from Wussow Park at the intersection of Greens Rd. and Greenchase Rd., and throughout the District. Signage helps with wayfinding and creating a sense of place, and contributes to beautification efforts.

🆕 Major industrial developments and projects are underway in the North Houston District! Construction is underway on several large-scale properties that will convert land into more than 1 million square feet of logistics and distribution centers.

To ensure transportation needs and pedestrian safety are addressed alongside the increased industrial growth in the area, the District has commissioned a traffic and mobility study, complementing planned infrastructure work by local government partners. ⚽ The FIFA World Cup in Houston is here, and the Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash have launched their Soccer Celebration Community Tour to celebrate! Wussow Park’s soccer complex is one of the tour’s stops and will have FREE sessions every Tuesday, June 16th - July 14th.
