Heads up, drivers! There is a continuous weekend closure scheduled for the Southbound Shoreacres Exit Ramp on SH 146. The ramp will be closed starting Friday, September 11 at 9:00 PM straight through until Sunday, September 13 at 5:00 AM.

Detour: Southbound traffic looking to exit at Shoreacres will need to continue south to the Port Rd U-Turn (the next exit).

Advanced warning signs are in place. Please plan ahead, expect minor delays, and drive safely! 🚗💨

The wait is finally over! The City of La Porte is thrilled to invite the entire community to the official Grand Opening of our brand-new City Hall. This beautiful facility marks an exciting new chapter for our city, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you!

Here are the details:
When: Monday, September 14, 2026
Where: 604 W Fairmont Pkwy
Welcome Activities: 5:45 PM
Official Ceremony: 6:00 PM

Come enjoy the evening with a ribbon cutting, guided tours of the new building, and plenty of cake!
Note: The City Council meeting will take place immediately after the celebrations at a specially adjusted time of 7:00 PM.
