**Honoring Our Fallen Heroes**
This past weekend, our Police Chaplains and members of Hubbard Christians in Action (HCIA) hosted a touching memorial service to close out National Police Week. We were proud to lay a wreath at the Law Enforcement Memorial at the Hubbard Police Department in honor of the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
A heartfelt thank-you to our speakers:
Chief Robert Thompson
Sheriff Mike Wilson
Detective/Sgt Michael Banic
Sgt. Christopher Moffitt
Hubbard Library's Lorena Stearns; HCIA President Mary Matthews-Bebech; Hubbard Salvation Army Treasurer Phil Adams, Bagpiper Ross Williams; Hubbard High School Students: Aiden Reagle, Alanna T**e, and Lukus Darr.
Police Chaplains: Pastor Dave Garlich, Rev. Dave Coxson and Pastor Luke Oskin
We’re also incredibly grateful for our brothers and sisters at Hubbard Township Police Dept and the Eagle Joint Fire District. It’s a privilege to serve alongside such an outstanding group of professionals.
**Special thanks to our Police Chaplains**—your dedication and leadership make this ceremony possible every year. We’re proud to be part of such a strong, united community.

This week is National Police Week, where we pause to honor America’s law enforcement community. Peace Officers Memorial Day, observed annually on May 15, was established in 1962 by John F. Kennedy to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of the men and women who serve and protect our communities.

The Hubbard City Chaplains will hold a memorial service on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hubbard Administration Building / Council Chambers to honor the courageous officers who gave their lives in the line of duty — protecting our families, standing on the front lines, and safeguarding our communities with selfless commitment.

This event is open to the public, and we invite all members of the community to attend as we remember and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
