Seems our social media lady decided to hoard pictures of our members doing great things and not share any…corrective action has been taken.

Last week, Lieutenant DeLaurie and Engineer McConnell travelled to Ohio to take part in their hands-on Crash Course Heavy training. This extrication course focused exclusively on advanced stabilization, heavy lifting, rigging, load control, and extrication techniques for massive or commercial vehicles.
Given that our district is the intersection of numerous large highways, we see our fair share of accidents involving these vehicles and it’s extremely important we are ready to serve our community when the time comes.

Additionally, (though NOT pictured because he’s allergic to cameras “allegedly”) Engineer McGourty traveled to Houston to take part in a large HazMat Conference known as Hot Zone. McGourty is one of our three HazMat technicians for our department and his knowledge and practice are crucial to keeping our small town safe in the event of a hazardous materials incident.

Always proud of our members for going out and bringing knowledge and training to our area we would not otherwise have access to!

HFD members are on scene at the Cruz’n the Square charity car show today so make sure you come by and see everyone, mingle with your neighbors, and donate to a wonderful cause!
We can’t wait to show you our trucks and talk about our love for our community!

HFD members are honored to standby for medical assistance at the Huntsville Eagle Invitational Cross Country meet this afternoon. The use of our department side by side allows us quick access and removal of any injured athlete and we’re grateful for the opportunity to use it in the community.

Last night, at 722pm, HFD and Smyrna Fire Department were toned to a structure fire in the city off College St. Hindsville Fire, who was in station training with several members, was toned for water and additional manpower.
On scene, crews were met with an electrical fire contained inside the walls. Older structural components made access difficult initially but those same components helped keep the fire from spreading and no fire damage occurred outside the initial area.
Thank you to Huntsville Arkansas Police Department for scene security and Madison County EMS for medical standby.
No report of injury to occupants or responders.

Please help us congratulate our newest promotion off his probationary period! While Adam is newer to us, he is certainly not new to the fire service! Professionally, FF Stauber is a Driver for Centerton Fire Department. Here in Madison County, he also serves as the assistant chief on Hindsville Fire Department!
Stauber heavily contributes to the training culture in Madison County as he is a certified instructor through the Arkansas Fire Training Academy and has a very aggressive mindset to make our community safer! We are lucky to have him and grateful to his dedication to the best job in the world!
