Serving others is a choice, and every day...officers across Huntsville make that choice.

It's National Thank a Police Officer Day!
To the men and women of the Huntsville Police Department: thank you for the work you do, the calls you answer and the people you help along the way.

And to our community - if you see an officer today, take a moment to say thank you. It means more than you might think!

Build an emergency kit—and keep it ready!

Your emergency kit should include essentials like water, nonperishable food, medications, a flashlight, extra batteries, a first-aid kit, important documents and a way to stay informed.

Don’t forget to check and update your kit throughout the year! Replace expired items and adjust supplies for seasonal hazards, changing needs and weather conditions.

A little preparation today can make a big difference when you need it most.
