A GREAT BIG THANK YOU goes out to the staff at the Hurley City Hall for inviting our two First Grade classrooms to tour The City Hall. The students thoroughly enjoyed their day!

The students rotated through the following five stations:

When an extremely generous community member stops by with a $30,000 check for new band uniforms, it's emotional and overwhelming.

Jean Tarro Ninefeldt (Class of 1965) has continued to spread her generosity year after year, and her message has always been the same. She gives back to the community that meant so much to her and continues to support the music department, her love of reading and the libraries, and hopes others will follow her lead. She wore a special necklace with a cat's-eye marble that reminded her of her brother, James Lewis Tarro (Class of 1960), which made her feel he's watching over her and proud of all she's made possible. Continuing to do good for the students and school community is a passion she lives by. Oh, and you may have noticed her picking up trash around town; she recently collected 5 bags of litter in the neighborhood, making the City of Hurley shine!

Jean Tarro Ninefeldt, the entire school community appreciates your kindness more than words can say!
