👑📚 A royally fun morning at the Library!

We had such a wonderful storytime with Abbi and Lilly in our Children’s Department today! Our little readers enjoyed stories, smiles, and a special morning with this year’s newly crowned Indiana County Fair Queen and Alternate. 👑

This has become such a special tradition at the Indiana Free Library, and we are so grateful year after year for the opportunity to welcome our newly crowned Fair royalty and share this experience with the children in our community.

A big thank you to Abbi and Lilly for spending the morning with us and helping us make some very special library memories! 💕📚👑

The New Century Club and Friends of the Library invite the community to a three-part forum examining the U.S. Constitution from historical, legal and cultural perspectives.

September 1 — The First Amendment from Madison to Trump
Dr. David Loomis and Dr. Pat Heilman

September 8 — The Relationship Between the President and the Supreme Court
Dr. Gwendolyn Torges and Dr. David Chambers

September 15 — The Constitution in Cultural Context
Josie Cunningham, retired IHS civics and history faculty

A $5 donation per session is requested. Coffee, tea and brunch snacks will be available.

Last day for our teacher special! Fill any tote or bag for $5 with teacher ID. The entrance to the store is on N. 9th street and we'll be open till 6!

The Little Read Book is Open Today!!! Our book special of the month is for our teachers! We know books are expensive so fill a bag or tote bag for $5 to help replenish your classroom library this school year. Alice, Judy or Sarah will be here to help you find what you are looking for! The LRB will be open until 6 today.

Cook, share and savor the season with the IFL Taster’s Club! This month, participants will prepare a recipe from *Stirring Up Fun with Food: Over 115 Simple, Delicious Ways to Be Creative in the Kitchen* by Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Stop by the Library to choose a recipe, prepare it at home and bring your finished dish to our gathering. We’ll sample the creations together and chat about the cooking experience!

Part cookbook club, part potluck and all about good food and great company.
