Prepare for a thrilling day of education at Grassy Creek! 🎃👻 Children aged 7 to 12 are encouraged to come in their beloved costumes and partake in interactive science activities, exciting challenges, and a variety of Halloween-themed learning experiences. Mark your calendar for our Spooky Soiree Homeschool Program on Wednesday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.! 🧪🕷️ The registration fee is $8 for each child. A little teamwork goes a long way! 💚🎨 On Thursday, Riverside Park got some extra love during Eli Lilly and Company’s Global Day of Service. Volunteers helped bring a new mural curated by local artist Israel Solomon to life on the pump building near the pool, featuring a design inspired by Taggart Memorial architecture and sea creatures. Volunteers also headed inside the Family Center to give the walls a fresh coat of paint!

Riverside was one of seven Indy Parks beautified throughout the week, alongside Brookside, Dubarry, Grassy Creek, Haughville, Hawthorne and Stringtown parks. 🌳

A huge thank you to our longtime partners Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and Eli Lilly and Company Eli Lilly and Company for investing their time, energy and resources into our parks and communities. Did you know Babe Denny Park is named after former Indy Parks employee Bay Edward “Babe” Denny, who also served as the Indianapolis Police Department's first African American Motorcycle Officer? This park is also newly renovated and showcases Lucas Oil Stadium in the background. This makes this park the perfect stop for the kiddos to play before and after the game! 🏈🛝

🦉 Whooo’s ready for Owl Fest?! Join us at Eagle Creek Park for the 11th Annual October Owl Festival, presented by Wild Birds Unlimited, October 17–18!

Enjoy a weekend full of crafts, games, hikes, wildlife programs, and family fun, all FREE with park admission. Proceeds from the event help support the Ornithology Center and care for its Avian Ambassadors. We’ll see you there! 🍂🦉
