The official source of retirement education and plan information from the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS). With approximately $54.9 billion in assets under management at fiscal year-end 2023, the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) is among the largest 100 pension funds in the United States. The fund serves the needs of approximately 553,534 members and retirees representing more than 1,340 employers including public universities, school corporations, municipalities, and state agencies. INPRS has been recognized as a Best Place to Work in 2024 and 2025 by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

The Retirement Medical Benefits Account (RMBA) is unique. Join an education opportunity to fully understand how it works and which option might work best for your situation. In-person and virtual events will have office hours surrounding event times. Find details, register for sessions, and view your current RMBA balance at bit.ly/inprsrmba.

The RMBA is a benefit exclusively for certain State of Indiana employees.

DISCLOSURES: The election referred to throughout this document is the employee’s decision to waive any and all rights to their RMBA account. If they elect to waive their participation in, and any rights to receive benefits under, the RMBA account, they will become eligible for a one-time, non-matching employer contribution to the Hoosier START 401(a) plan, as described below.
