Today, alongside Mayor Hogsett and community leaders, we cut the ribbon on the new Riverside Promenade! The trail spans from 16th Street to 29th Street along the east side of Riverside Park. Soon, panels exploring the area's culture and history will be placed in each of the seven nodes along the trail. We look forward to seeing the community utilize this great new park amenity!

A HUGE shoutout to AES Indiana who is spending their second year at Washington Park for their AES Day in the Parks today! They have invested in this community park by painting new murals in the gym and dance rooms, designed by artist Ashley Nora, remolding the front desk area, refurbishing and adding safety features in the locker rooms and restrooms, braving the rain to clean up the outside, and much more across the park. We thank you for spending your time and energy helping make this park more welcoming to the community!

This afternoon, Mayor Hogsett, Councillors Oliver, and Adamson toured the construction site at the new Frederick Douglass Park Family Center! The new center will be the largest in the Indy Parks system and will have 2 full-size basketball courts, a walking track, community rooms, and so much more! Completion is set for the beginning of 2024.

With staff all across the city, the conference is a vital day where all staff are able to get together, learn from guest speakers such as Peace Learning Center & Next Practice Partners, LLC, and have a little fun!

We'd like to extend a BIG thank you to Eli Lilly and Company for coming out to 7 different parks yesterday for their Global Day of Service! They helped beautify Christian, Dubarry, Haughville, Hawthorne, Riverside, Stringtown, and Eagle Creek Parks! Tasks included mulching, weeding, painting murals, litter pickup, plating trees, repainting picnic tables, and much more. Thank you all and thank you to Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. for helping manage these projects.
