Last week our teachers spent Wednesday engaged in meaningful professional learning focused on our continued school improvement efforts and our shared target: Excellence in Education: Results for Every Student.

We were honored to have our Mid-Atlantic Superintendent, Mr. Ryan Smith, kick off the day right here at our school with an inspiring message that motivated and energized our staff! His words set the tone for a day filled with reflection, collaboration, and planning for continued growth.

A special thank you to our CSI Team for leading the day’s professional learning and providing valuable support as we work together to ensure success for every student.

We are incredibly proud of our dedicated staff and their continued commitment to excellence!

Today, our students and staff dressed as their future careers, and the creativity was amazing! We had everything from mall walkers and retired people to doctors, baseball players, UPS workers, artists, hairdressers, and so much more. It was wonderful to see everyone celebrating their dreams and aspirations while having fun.

📚 Bitz Constitution Day Spirit Week is in full swing! 📚

Today, our students showed their patriotic pride by dressing in their favorite Stars and Stripes attire to celebrate Constitution Day Spirit Week! We loved seeing all the red, white, and blue throughout the school. ⭐🎉

Tomorrow, students can look ahead to their future by dressing as a future career they hope to pursue one day. We can't wait to see the creativity and career dreams on display!

💧💦 Science in Motion! 💦💧

Yesterday Mrs. Eskew’s 3rd graders got their bodies moving while putting on their scientist thinking caps! 🧪🔬

As an item appeared on the screen, students had to decide: Will water be absorbed or will it repel/bead up? Then they moved their bodies according to the exercise shown under their choice on the screen! 🙌💪🕺

It was a fun way to practice observing, making predictions, and looking for patterns in how water interacts with different materials.

📚 CCRS connection: We are learning to observe how different materials interact with water and use what we notice to identify patterns and explain our thinking.

Who knew science could be such a workout?! 😂💧🏃‍♀️
