National Recovery Month 💜

Recovery is possible. It may not always be easy, and everyone’s journey looks different, but every step forward matters. This month, we celebrate those who are choosing recovery, those who are still fighting, and those who continue to support their loved ones along the way.

There is no shame in asking for help. There is no shame in starting over. Your past does not define your future, and you are never too far gone to begin again.

Here’s to healing, hope, second chances, and the courage to keep going. Recovery is worth it. You are worth it. 💜

We miss you more than words can say. Your overdose may have taken you from us, but it could never take away the love and memories you left behind. You are forever missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. Save us a seat Robert Owen Smith 💜

There is no shame in overdose. There is no shame in struggling, in addiction, in relapse, or in needing help. Addiction is a disease, not a moral failure, and every person deserves compassion, understanding, and a chance at recovery. To those who have survived an overdose, you are still here for a reason. To those who have lost someone, your loved one’s life was so much more than how they died. Speak their name. Share their story. Remember their laughter, their love, and the person they were. Let’s replace shame with compassion, silence with understanding, and judgment with hope. You are not your worst moment, and there is never shame in asking for help. 💜

Today, on Overdose Awareness Day, we remember and honor every beautiful life lost to overdose. They were more than a statistic or a tragedy—they were loved ones, friends, parents, children, siblings, and people with dreams, hopes, and stories that mattered. We carry their memories in our hearts and honor the moments we shared with them, while holding space for the families and friends who continue to grieve their loss. May we speak their names, remember their lives, and continue to raise awareness, break the stigma, and remind others that addiction is a disease. Today and always, we remember those we have lost, we help those still struggling, and we hold onto hope that fewer families will have to experience this heartbreaking loss. 💜
