Tropical Storm Warning is in Effect‼

Tropical storm conditions are expected to begin tonight, Sept. 7. Strong, damaging wind gusts could cause tree damage and power outges, especially in areas of higher terrain.

4 to 8 inches of rain is expected with isolated totals of 10 inches possible in Oahu county and may produce flash flooding or mudslides.

Large swells will produce life threatening surf and rip current conditions during the next several days across portions of the Hawaiian islands.

Make final storm preparations.

Safety First 🪖

MCBH is implementing a phased enforcement strategy to address helmet safety and increase compliance among bicycle, e-bike, e-scooter and micromobility device riders.

During Phase I, riders can expect:
📚 Safety education and awareness
🪖 Reminders about required helmet use
📢 Base-wide safety outreach and information
👮 Educational traffic stops and written warnings

This phase is focused on education and awareness before active enforcement begins.

Take the time to know the rules, wear your helmet and ride safely. 🚲⚠️

Upon transition to Phase 2, PMO will fully execute the progressive tiered enforcement model. Active penalties will be applied immediately.
