From the streets to the keys. 🔑💙

This is what a new beginning can look like.

After experiencing homelessness, one of our clients now has the keys to a place of his own. A place to call home. A place to rest, rebuild, and take the next step forward.

These are the moments that remind us why this work matters. It doesn’t happen overnight—it takes perseverance, support, resources, and people willing to walk alongside someone through the process.

Today, we’re celebrating more than a set of keys. We’re celebrating a fresh start and everything that comes with it.

The Well is thriving, and we’re so grateful to see this new chapter taking shape. 💙

Since The Well and Acadiana Outreach Center joined together, our shared goal has been simple: to meet people where they are and provide the care, connection, and resources they need to move forward.

Sometimes that support looks like something as simple as a fresh haircut. One of our friends recently stopped by for a haircut—just one of the many services available at The Well to help meet practical, everyday needs.

Bringing these two ministries together has allowed us to build on what each has always done best. We’re able to serve our neighbors in more ways than ever.

We’re excited about what’s happening at The Well and even more excited about what’s still ahead. This is what coming together for our community looks like. 💙

A new chapter is beginning, and we are incredibly grateful for what’s ahead. 💙

Acadiana Outreach Center and The Well are coming together as one organization, bringing two ministries with a shared heart for serving our community under one mission.

By joining together, we have an opportunity to build on the work both organizations have been doing for years—combining our strengths, expanding our reach, and finding even more ways to walk alongside people experiencing homelessness and poverty throughout Acadiana.

We’re thankful for everyone who has supported, served, prayed, volunteered, and believed in these ministries along the way. We don’t take lightly the opportunity to carry this work forward, and we’re excited to see what God has in store for this next chapter.

Two ministries. One shared heart. And so much more to come.

Meeting people where they are is at the heart of what we do. 💙

Our Outreach Specialist, Will, spent time at the park completing an initial assessment with a new client—listening, learning about their needs, and beginning the process of connecting them with the right resources and support.

Sometimes the first step forward simply starts with a conversation.

The wait is over, and we are so excited to finally share this news with you!

Acadiana Outreach Center and The Hub Lafayette are merging! 💙

For years, our two ministries have served people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Acadiana in different but complementary ways. The Hub has built a place of community, connection, and practical support, while Acadiana Outreach Center has provided shelter, housing, and outreach services to individuals and families.

Now, we have the opportunity to bring those strengths together under one organization, and we could not be more grateful.

We are thankful for the vision, leadership, and years of faithful service that have brought The Hub to this moment. It is an honor to help carry that vision forward, build on the relationships already established, and continue serving our neighbors with the love of Jesus.

And with this new chapter comes a new name for The Hub Lafayette: THE WELL.

For now, you’ll see The Well and Acadiana Outreach Center working together as one organization. In the future, we’ll bring everything together under one shared identity.

There is so much to look forward to, but what matters most remains the same: showing up for people, meeting practical needs, building relationships, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ.

To everyone who has supported either ministry over the years, thank you. Your generosity, prayers, and belief in this work have helped bring us here. We are excited for what God has ahead and grateful to carry this vision forward together.

Our case manager, Candis, was out helping one of our Rapid Rehousing clients take care of some important business and move one step closer to stability.

It’s these everyday moments that make a difference—showing up, working through the details, and helping our clients keep moving forward. ✨
