Fergus Council on Aging is offering a cooling center again on Saturday, August 1, ONLY from 10 am to 6 pm. Some drinks and games will be available. Like mentioned in the shared post below, the sign is not actually on the building.

PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT

​Stay cool and stay safe, Lewistown!

​With the National Weather Service issuing an Extreme Heat Warning bringing dangerously hot temperatures into the area (with highs climbing well into the 90s and near 100°F), a community cooling center is opening this weekend to help everyone beat the heat.

​📍 Location: Council on Aging Building, 307 W Watson Street, Lewistown
📅 Dates: Saturday, July 25th & Sunday, July 26th
⏰ Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM both days

​Cold water, fresh fruit, and popsicles will be available free of charge for anyone needing a safe, cool place to escape the heat. Please check on elderly neighbors, family members, and pets, and take precautions to avoid heat-related illness!
