💚 Supporting Mental Health in Our Community!

Region 5 Systems employees, including Zina Crowder, M.B.A., C.L.S.S.Y.B. (pictured), participated in Bryan Health’s annual Mental Health Fair on October 8, 2026, during Mental Health Awareness Week.

The event featured seven-time Olympic medalist Amanda Beard, who shared her personal mental health struggles, helping shine a light on the importance of mental health and well-being.

Region 5 Systems joined 25 other organizations in sharing information about services and resources available to support our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities to connect with community partners, raise awareness, and help ensure people know where to turn for support. 💚

Nearly a decade of collaboration and partnership between Lancaster County, Region 5 Systems, Lincoln Police Department, United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County, and community partners has helped make SquareOne a reality.

SquareOne provides youth and families a centralized, coordinated point of contact to receive:

• Crisis behavioral health screening, stabilization and support
• Integrated case management
• Referral to existing support services within the community
• Access to basic needs and concrete supports at a time of crisis

🎉 Ribbon Cutting and Open House for SquareOne – October 19

Lancaster County, Region 5 Systems, and the City of Lincoln invite community members to celebrate the grand opening of SquareOne, a youth and family crisis center serving Lancaster County and the other 15 counties in the Region 5 Systems service area.

This important event signifies nearly a decade of collaboration and partnership to make a shared vision a reality – a safe and supportive facility specially designed to support youth and families in crisis who are struggling to connect to behavioral health services and community resources.

Immediately following the ceremony, members of the Lancaster County Youth Advisory Committee will provide guided tours to the public. Attendees will get a firsthand look at the new space and the services available to youth and families in crisis.

We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with our community!

This is an ideal position for professionals who enjoy serving in the community, building relationships, and working directly with individuals while maintaining the convenience of a home-based work environment. Because this is a community-based role, much of your work will take place in person, with regular travel throughout Region 5 Systems’ 16-county service area for client-related activities. This position is expected to attend required in-person meetings, trainings, and other duties at Region 5 Systems’ principal office located at 3600 Union Drive, Lincoln. This role helps prevent children from becoming state wards, reduces out-of-home placements, decreases involvement with the justice system, supports improved school performance, and helps young adults successfully transition from youth services into the adult behavioral health system.

✨ Family Youth Investment had a fantastic afternoon at the Harvest Moon Festival this past Saturday! 🌕 🍂

The rain cleared up just in time, and the Antelope Park Bandshell was filled with incredible music, stunning performances, and delicious local food. It was so great seeing the Lincoln community come together to celebrate! 💛

The Housing Team was proud to volunteer at Project Connect Lincoln, an event bringing together individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness with essential services all in one place!

With approximately 100 organizations participating, attendees could access a wide variety of resources, including health services, social services, employment assistance, legal services, pet care, haircuts, bicycle repairs, veterans’ services, and so much more.

We are grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support our neighbors and work toward ending homelessness.
