Help Close the Summer Hunger Gap

When school is out, many children lose access to the nutritious meals they rely on during the school year. Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT) helps bridge that gap by providing grocery benefits to eligible families during the summer months.

This summer, eligible families can receive a one-time benefit of $120 per child on a pre-loaded Summer EBT card that can be used to purchase groceries. Summer EBT works alongside other nutrition programs like SNAP, WIC, and summer meal sites to help ensure children have consistent access to healthy food while school is out.

⚠️ CURRENT SUMMER EBT RECIPIENTS: ACTION REQUIRED ⚠️

The Arkansas Department of Human Services is requiring all Summer EBT recipients to reset their card PINs immediately following reports of benefit theft by out-of-state scammers.

To protect your benefits:

- Reset your PIN by calling 1-800-997-9999 or through the official portal at ar.gov/summerebt
- Your card will not work until a new PIN has been created
- Choose a unique PIN and keep it private
- DHS will NEVER call, text, or email asking for your PIN

Be cautious of suspicious texts, emails, phone calls, or websites requesting your card information. Protect your benefits and help spread the word to families who may qualify.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The Arkansas Department of Human Services will require all Summer EBT recipients to reset the PIN numbers associated with their cards in response to reports of thefts of these benefits from out-of-state scammers.

Eligible families should reset their PINs through the EBT call line at 1-800-997-9999 or through the online portal linked at ar.gov/summerebt effective immediately. The cards will not work until this additional step has been completed in order to prevent additional fraudulent activity.

Our garden at Heifer Ranch is thriving!

Alex and Brandon have been hard at work maintaining the garden, and it’s paying off beautifully. The cabbage, onions, and peppers are growing bigger every day, and this year’s zinnias are putting on quite the show too. Not only are they helping attract pollinators to the garden, but we were also able to harvest a few blooms to use at our signature gala, Serving Up Solutions, last week.

There’s nothing sweeter than seeing a garden grown with purpose come to life.
