Long Beach Fire Department

Long Beach Fire Department Long Beach Fire Department provides fire protection and First Responder medical services for the Town of Long Beach, IN.

We are located along the shore of Lake Michigan, immediately east of Michigan City, IN. We have approximately 40 members on our Fire Department, with most being certified as Fire Fighter I/II. We have approximately 10 Medical First Responders and 1 EMT/Paramedic volunteering on the Department. We continually train all long year on both the fire and medical side to further maintain and develop our skills and procedures.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Jon Samuelson, his family, friends, K9 partner, and the entire La Porte County Sheriff's Office.

Today's events are a painful reminder of the risks law enforcement officers face, even in moments when they are simply trying to help someone. During tragedies like this, the strength of our public safety community becomes clear. Agencies from across the area have come together to support Deputy Samuelson, his family, and one another.

We are grateful for the officers, deputies, dispatchers, medical staff, first responders, and partner agencies who responded and continue to stand united during this difficult time.
