Important Announcement to the Citizens and Supporters of the Queendom of Nyx
After approximately four months of discussion, debate, and consideration within the Royal Court and among the citizenry of the Queendom of Nyx, a final decision has been reached regarding the future structure of our government.
Nyx will transition from its current structure into a Constitutional Triarchy.
This means that instead of having a single Monarch supported by a Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, the Crown will now consist of three Co-Monarchs who will govern together as equals.
This change was made to simplify our system of governance, strengthen unity among the founders, and better reflect the current size and needs of our nation.
The idea of multiple monarchs governing together is inspired by certain ancient Greek traditions, particularly systems such as the dual kingship of Sparta. As Nyx continues to develop its own Greek-inspired cultural identity, the Triarchy reflects both that heritage and our modern goals as a nation.
The Three Triarchs
Beginning on March 23, 2026, the Crown of Nyx will consist of the following Triarchs:
• Queen Breckingridge I, who will continue to serve as Monarch and will become the first Head Triarch of the Crown. The Head Triarch presides over the Crown but holds the same sovereign authority as the other Triarchs. The position may rotate in the future.
• Austin, who will transition from Prime Minister to King within the Triarchy and will primarily focus on foreign relations and external representation of Nyx.
• Chelsey, one of the original founders of Nyx, who will become Queen Chelsey and assist in the organization of government functions and financial administration.
The three Triarchs together will embody the Crown and will make decisions collectively.
What This Means for the Current Government
Because the Crown will now directly perform the functions previously handled by the executive offices, the following changes will occur:
• The Office of the Prime Minister will be abolished.
• The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister will also be abolished.
With the Crown acting collectively, these positions will no longer be necessary for the administration of the Queendom.
All other institutions and offices within the government of Nyx will remain in place and continue operating as they currently do. This includes the Royal Court, the Court of Themis, the National Constables Bureau, and other established offices of the realm.
Additionally, the previous system of Executive Reminders will be discontinued. Instead, the Triarchs will use oral leadership and social or community decrees when organizing activities, projects, and day-to-day matters within Nyx.
Formal laws will continue to be issued through Royal Decrees of the Crown.
Legal Changes
To implement this transition properly, the following legal steps have already been completed:
• A Constitutional Amendment establishing the Triarchy has been drafted.
• Supporting Nyx Revised Statutes (NRS) regarding the authority and operation of the Triarchs have been written.
• Administrative Nyx Administrative Regulations (NAR) outlining procedures of the Crown have also been prepared.
These documents will be publicly available so that citizens and supporters may review them.
Transition Date
The Constitutional Amendment establishing the Triarchy will take legal effect on:
March 23, 2026
On that date, the new structure of the Crown will officially begin.
Moving Forward
The purpose of this transition is not to complicate the government of Nyx, but to simplify leadership and strengthen cooperation among the founders as we continue working toward our long-term goals for the nation.
Nyx has grown and changed over the past several years, and this new structure reflects the next stage in our development.
We thank all Nyxian citizens and supporters for their continued dedication to the Queendom of Nyx and the work we are building together.
