What do you do at ICC?
I have worked part-time with ICC for more than ten years, currently with clients in Sauk County. I provide individual psychotherapy and art therapy for clients of all ages. My work is neurodiversity-affirming, relational, client-centered, and healing-focused, with an emphasis on helping people better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and find supports and strategies that work with their brain and nervous system rather than against them.

What is informing your current work?
My current work is especially informed by neurodiversity-affirming practice and the understanding that there is no single “right” way to think, communicate, connect, process emotions, or move through the world. I draw from a variety of Autistic voices, authors, podcasts, and trainings—believing that the wisdom and knowledge they share from personal experiences is of greatest value!

What is informing your current work? Recent reads that have inspired me and are informing how I approach my work with clients include "Wired to Feel" by Sarah Bergenfield and "Raising Kids with Big, Baffling Behaviors" by Robyn Gobbel, which emphasize the importance of supporting clients' perceived safety, acknowledging co-regulation and relationship-building as the foundation of learning, and viewing all behaviors as valuable information that communicate real needs which deserve to be validated and addressed compassionately and patiently.
