So nice to see two of our Madison Water Utility board members, Curt and Deb, out at the All-City Swim Meet this past week. Neither have children active in the event any longer but find ways to come back by cheering on relatives or neighbors as they truly love this City-wide event, one of the largest outdoor swim meets in the country, and fundraiser for Second Harvest Food Bank.

One of the many jobs in MWU's meter team is to keep water meters accurate with routine changes. Large flow meters (for bigger buildings) get changed every 4 years. Meters with a smaller water flow, every 20 years. After the new meters are in place, the old one is brought back to our in-house shop where it is tested. If possible, we'll make the adjustments needed to put the meter back into service vs. purchasing brand new meters. Our goal is to provide accurate water readings and pass along savings. Reduce, reuse, recycle! Thank you, Sarah, for letting us come along with you.
