Last week, Leadership Greater Manchester (LGM) held an impactful Health & Human Services Day. Thank you to our partners at Dartmouth Health for sponsoring the day.

From exploring the role of social determinants of health to hearing directly from leaders across Manchester’s health systems, this day reinforced a powerful truth: health is shaped far beyond clinical care. Housing, food access, education, and community all play a critical role.

A highlight was connecting with organizations like the Manchester Health Department, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester, Manchester Fire Department and Families in Transition whose work brings these concepts to life every day.

As leaders, the question isn’t just what these organizations can do - it’s how we can better support them.

This week, the LGM Class of 2026 participated in Education Day sponsored by , which equips them with a deeper understanding of Manchester’s education system - its successes, challenges, and workforce pathways - while identifying ways leaders can personally and professionally support and engage within the greater Manchester area.
