We're officially ONE MONTH AWAY from McAlester High School's 2026 All School Homecoming Ceremony!

Mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate tradition, pride, and community with fellow Buffaloes both past and present! Whether you're a student, alumni, or proud supporter, this is the event we come together to honor our legacy.

Homecoming Parade will be Monday, September 28th at 6:30pm on Choctaw Ave.
MHS All School Homecoming Ceremony will be Friday, October 2nd at 6:15pm
The Buffaloes take on the Coweta Tigers at 7:00pm at Hook Eales Stadium

You won’t want to miss the parade, ceremony, and all the festivities leading up to the big game! Go Buffs!

Front entrance will open at 7:15am for drop off and the east and south (Kindergarten) entrances will open at 7:30. Reminder that you may park in one of the parking lots and walk students to the front door or back K door, but staff will assist them from there. Parents are not able to enter the building. If you did not attend Open House, please stop by the office to grab your car line tags. We are ready to see those smiling faces!

TOMORROW, THE HERD IS BACK

As we head into the first day, here’s one important reminder for our entire community: Give everyone a little extra patience tomorrow.

Buses are learning new routes and schedules.
Drop-off and pick-up lines will take a little longer.
Families are figuring out new routines.
Students are finding classrooms and learning schedules.
Teachers and staff are welcoming new faces and getting everyone where they need to be.

Leave home a few minutes early. Slow down in our school zones. Watch for buses and students. Be kind to the person directing traffic. Give each other some grace.

Get some sleep, Buffaloes. Tomorrow we fill the classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, gyms, fields, and buses again. See you in the morning.
