We were honored to gather with members of our Legacy Society at our annual Legacy of Hope Luncheon last week. These remarkable donors have chosen to support Catholic Charities through estate giving — helping strengthen our work far into the future.

We are grateful for their dedication to helping our community.

After more than 40 years with Catholic Charities Twin Cities, today is Carol's last day. Please join us in thanking Carol for her extraordinary career and wishing her the very best in retirement!

When Carol Bentley joined Catholic Charities, she never expected it would turn into a four-decade journey. What started as a recommendation from a friend became a lifelong commitment to supporting people behind the scenes. From manually calculating paper timesheets to helping modernize payroll systems, Carol has ensured that generations of employees were paid accurately and on time.

“What I’m most proud of is supporting employees and hoping my contribution helped them continue to do the good work of Catholic Charities,” she said.

As she looks ahead to retirement, Carol said she's most excited for time with friends and family. Thank you, Carol, for 40+ years of dedication, care and impact. Your legacy will help support our mission for years to come.

Thank you to the volunteers from the Minnesota Court of Appeals for hosting their annual cookout at Dorothy Day Place ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Each year, this dedicated group brings neighbors on campus together for a warm, welcoming barbecue meal—including veterans we are honored to serve.

As we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service, we’re also called to care for the veterans in our community today.

Kevin grew up in North Minneapolis and later served as a in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. After returning home, PTSD and mental health challenges led him to an experience with homelessness.

At Catholic Charities Endeavors Residence, Kevin found a permanent place to live and supportive services to help him find stability.

“I just say, ‘Thank you, Jesus’ that places like [Endeavors] exist to help rebuild," he said.
