Murphy High School The official page of Murphy High School in Mobile, Ala. Home of the Panthers! Murphy High School has long been the flagship of Mobile County Public Schools.

Named for former Superintendent Samuel S. Murphy, the school opened in 1928 and is the oldest continually operating high school in Alabama. This year, 528 MCPSS students participated in JOB SHADOWING experiences across 12 high schools, gaining firsthand exposure to careers throughout our community. From healthcare and engineering to education, public service, skilled trades, and business, students had the opportunity to see what their future could look like.

Thank you to the many businesses, organizations, and professionals who opened their doors and invested their time in our students. Your support helps bridge the gap between the classroom and the workforce while helping students make informed decisions about their futures.

Together, we are connecting classrooms to careers and preparing the next generation of Mobile’s workforce.

Mr. Peralta was called onto the field at Truist Park tonight as the Atlanta Braves spotlight the Most Valuable Teacher.
