The MJWC is a local non-profit community service organization.

The club participates in 6 community service area yearly: Arts, Social Welfare, Education, Health and Wellness, Environmental Issues and Presidents Project.

🌟Each year our President picks an area of focus for our club. Due to her heart for children and families, this year our President, Haley Smith, chose The Forgotten Initiative!

❤️The Forgotten Initiative is a non-profit ministry that equips communities to support the foster care system.

🛠️For our focus project, we rolled up our sleeves to transform the local DFCS family meeting space. We turned a stark office area into a warm, welcoming play area!

🧸Why does this matter? This space is where families meet with caseworkers. By making it a comfortable, joyful environment, we are helping ease anxiety during vital visits as DFCS works to safely reunite families and build beautiful new families.

Thank you, Haley, for leading us toward such a meaningful cause, and thank you to every member who helped bring this room to life! Together, we are making a difference for Colquitt County families!

Celebrating Earth Day with our youngest community members! 🌍🌱 MJWC had a wonderful time reading to the preschool students at First Baptist Church Preschool. Each student also took home their very own potted plant! 🌸🌻 Teaching the next generation to care for our planet is the best way to celebrate!

MJWC members made and hung encouraging posters around Norman Park Elementary during testing week! ✏️📚 We also donated art supplies to their art department. Best of luck to all Colquitt County students during test time! 💙

MJWC gave gifts to Colquitt County school board members in March. We are thankful for the dedication, leadership, and voluntary service of our local school board members in supporting students, teachers, and public education! 📚✏️🎓

The Hero House hosted a Community Wellness Fair and MJWC was happy to help out! It was a fun day centered on building healthier habits together! A special shoutout to all the volunteers and organizations who made this day possible!

MJWC had the honor of volunteering at the Special Olympics! We are so proud to support such dedicated athletes and witness the power of sports to build confidence, friendships, and joy. We were thrilled to be part of this unforgettable experience!

Operation Easter Bunny is a success! 🧺✨ MJWC put together Easter baskets for some incredible kids in our local foster care system! 🐰🐣 It’s just a small way to make Easter morning magical and show them they are loved and cherished!
