We offer our deepest condolences to Coach's family and friends, athletes, students, fellow teachers and coaches, and the entire NPS community during this difficult time. 💜

The Town of Norton mourns the passing of Kent Taylor, longtime Norton High School educator and beloved cross country and track and field coach.

For more than two decades, Coach Taylor made an extraordinary impact on generations of Norton students and student-athletes. His legacy of leadership, dedication, and service to our community is reflected not only in the tremendous success of the programs he helped build, but in the countless lives he touched along the way.

In 2023, Norton proudly named the Kent A. Taylor Track in his honor, a lasting tribute to someone whose impact on Norton extends far beyond athletics.

We extend our deepest condolences to Kent’s family, friends, colleagues, students, athletes, and the entire Norton Public Schools community during this difficult time.

Thank you, Coach Taylor, for everything you gave to Norton. Your legacy will live on.

It's not too late to sign your kids and teens up for summer reading! Everyone who registers gets to choose a brand new book to keep forever AND have a voice in deciding which fun activities and amenities we'll add to the Youth Department for the whole community to enjoy. Stop in at the volunteer table or talk to a librarian to register (and show us your bingo card to receive your voting stickers) by Friday, August 14. Happy reading!
