Oak Grove Golf continues to make noise in the MRVC

At the MRVC Conference Tournament held at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond, the Panthers delivered a strong team performance, finishing second in the MRVC West with a team score of 366—just behind Harrisonville's 359.

Leading the way was Mason Dehnert, who captured the MRVC West Individual Championship with a season-best round of 5-over-par 77. Teammates Kadin Bowman and Sam Lux added solid rounds of 95, helping anchor Oak Grove's team finish.

A big part of that foundation comes from the senior class—Kadin Bowman, Owen Fowler, Kaeden Hockett, and Chase Rinehart—whose leadership has set the tone all season. They've helped build something that's not just competitive now, but sustainable moving forward.

And then there's Dehnert. Winning a conference title isn't easy—period. It takes focus, grit, and the ability to execute when it matters. He's put in the time, and it showed.

Oak Grove isn't just having a good season—they're building a program.

⛳ Senior Night | OGHS Golf Team

Senior Night marked the close of the regular season for the OGHS Golf Team, and the program has plenty to be proud of.

The match was shortened due to the weather, but Oak Grove competed at a high level and was in a position to make a strong push for the win. Kaeden Hockett led the way on the varsity lineup with an impressive 42.

Throughout the season, the team showed steady growth—especially from its newer players and JV group. While Oak Grove came up just short of a conference championship, they remained in contention until the very end, a testament to the group's effort and consistency.

With postseason play ahead, five golfers will move forward to represent the program.

The night also served as a celebration of the senior class—Kaeden Hockett, Owen Fowler, Kadin Bowman, and Chase Rinehart—whose leadership and commitment helped lay the foundation for Oak Grove Golf's future.

The standard has been set, and the future is bright.

Once a Panther, Always a Panther.

The season may be over, but the standard stays high.

The OGHS Speech & Debate team wrapped up an impressive year last week, finishing 2nd Place in Debate Sweepstakes (Class 1 District 6), reclaiming the MRVC Championship, and sending multiple competitors on to the state stage.

This group didn't just compete — they represented Panther Nation with confidence and a commitment to excellence every time they stepped up to speak.

To our seniors: thank you for the time, leadership, and foundation you've built for this program. Your impact goes beyond results, and it's set the tone for what's next.

Sometimes, not every student signing takes place during a formal school ceremony — and that's why partnerships matter. Through the support of our community partners, we're proud to help create opportunities for students to pursue their passions and compete at the next level.

Congratulations to Rylee Bennett, who signed with Missouri Valley College to continue her cheer career, and Allie Mills, who signed with Drury University to cheer at the collegiate level!

These moments don't happen without a strong support system. Thank you to the families who have shown up, sacrificed, and helped shape these student-athletes into who they are today.

We're proud of your hard work, dedication, and the example you've set for those who come after you.

Go chase what's next. Once a Panther, Always a Panther. 🐾
