I want to remove artificial barriers to work and starting a business — because when you give people true freedom, innovation and creativity explode. 🚀

When we strip away unnecessary red tape and trust people to explore, experiment, and build, we unlock our greatest potential. Heavy restriction builds boxes; autonomy builds the future.

Unwinding state bureaucracy doesn't happen overnight, and changing state statutes requires working alongside the legislature over time. But every organization needs a clear compass. My compass is simple: the department's top priority should always be enforcing valid labor contracts and protecting the fruits of people's labor, while systematically modernizing and streamlining the rest of our operations to get out of the way of Oklahoma's job creators.

I want to shift the Oklahoma Department of Labor away from policing teenagers and burdensome paperwork traps. Instead, I want to open doors for private industry to expand apprenticeships and skilled trades programs for Oklahoma youth. Let’s encourage teenagers to learn real-world skills like welding, mechanics, and building trades from actual local experts—not track them down with state clipboards.

This is my second livestream. Last week I looked at the part of Title 40 that relates to amusement rides, and today’s episode is the part that pertains to boiler and pressure vessel safety inspections. I plan to do a couple more in coming weeks on other parts of Title 40, then cover a couple parts of Title 59, then will move on to other areas as time permits.

Feel free to comment on any of these.

This should be a link to my first livestream video. I plan to dig into the state statutes little by little over the coming weeks to examine and comment on sections that pertain to the Oklahoma Department of Labor and my approach if elected Commissioner of Labor.

Did you know Oklahoma law does not require the Commissioner of Labo...

The Declaration of Independence set a radical standard: that everyone has the right to Life, Liberty, & pursuit of Happiness. We’re still a work in progress but this 4th isn’t just about the fireworks; it’s about renewing our commitment to a free society and a more perfect union.

My ultimate goal would be to shift the ODOL from a "protective shield" to a neutral referee. The agency would exist mainly to protect citizens against force and fraud, leaving all questions of wages, hours, licensing, and working conditions to be sorted out by the voluntary choices of sovereign individuals.

As a taxpayer, this is disturbing.
