***𝙀𝙓𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀***
The Older Adult Home Modification Program has partnered with OPPD to provide up to an additional $3,000 in energy improvements per project. Energy improvements can include attic and rim joist insulation, window and door replacement, LED bulbs, and more!

• 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗼?
The City of Omaha’s Older Adult Home Modification Program helps seniors aged 62 or older stay in their homes with safety and accessibility improvements to their home. The program partners with a licensed Occupation Therapist (OT) that does an assessment of the home and how the homeowner interacts with it. The OT then makes recommendations on how to make the home safer and more accessible with home modifications and adaptive equipment.

The Program Manager will then lead a qualified contractor to make home modifications based on the OT’s recommendations. Up $5,000 per project plus an additional $3,000 for weatherization improvements.

• 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆?
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be aged 62 or older
- Own and live in your single family home
- Live within the Omaha city limits
- The Household's gross income is at or below 80% of the HUD Median Family income (see income guidelines)
- Be up-to-date on property taxes and assessments and mortgage
- Have fire or homeowner insurance for your home

It is amazing to see the transformation happening at Southside Terrace, and Ms. Sammie Jackson is part of that transformation.

She will move from Southside to the new Cornerstone at Southside development, the first phase of mixed income redevelpment in the Southside Terrace-Indian Hill Neighbborhood. Cornerstone means strength. It means foundation. It means something upon which we can build. And Southside pays homage to the generations of families who lived here and are part of the story.

I'd like to thank the City's partners, OHA, Brinshore Development, Canopy South and other funders and donors for bringing to life a new chapter here.
