Bringing a new ride home to Nebraska? Exciting! Finding out you forgot an out-of-state title inspection? Not as fun.
Before you can officially get those Nebraska plates, your out-of-state vehicle, trailer, ATV, or mini bike needs a quick check-up!

Don't stall out on your paperwork—head over to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Inspection Center at 8338 Chicago St. to get it sorted out. Once that's complete, you're free to finish up your title at any Treasurer's Office branch!

2025 PROPERTY TAX DELINQUENCY NOTICES HAVE BEEN MAILED
The Douglas County Treasurer’s Office has mailed Notification of Delinquency postcards to taxpayers who have an outstanding balance on their 2025 Real Property Taxes.

If you received a postcard, please be aware that delinquent interest is now being assessed in accordance with Nebraska law.

Real property taxes can be paid online through the Douglas County Treasurer’s website.
• E-check: $1.50 flat fee
• Credit/debit card: Convenience fee applies

PAYING BY MAIL OR DROP BOX?
Please contact our Customer Service Division first to obtain the current total amount due, including interest, before submitting your payment.

Received a notice but believe you already paid?
Please review your payment information, including the parcel number used when the payment was submitted, and contact our office if you need assistance researching your payment.

We encourage taxpayers with an outstanding balance to address it as soon as possible to avoid additional interest.
