Over the weekend, Papillion Fire responded to a mutual aid request by Ralston Fire & Rescue Inc. for a technical rope rescue. Incidents like these highlight the importance of maintaining specialized rescue capabilities throughout our region!

The reality of emergency services is that we train extensively for "low-frequency, high-risk" events because when they do occur, the stakes are incredibly high. Our communities need us to be ready, and is committed to ensuring our firefighters have the knowledge, skills, and equipment necessary to respond when called. We're proud to work alongside our mutual aid partners, and of the cooperation that allows us provide the highest level of service to you.

Don't be afraid of using an AED as a bystander when an emergency happens -- most public use AEDs are very simple to use, often giving you step by step voice instructions. Be aware of where AEDs are located, especially in your workplace! Immediate CPR and use of an AED can double, and even triple, survival rates.
