Congratulations, Joel! Go Vikings! 🌎

🎓 PUSD Proud: Senior Spotlight

Meet Joel Griffin, a National Merit Scholar from the Class of 2026. From Norma Coombs Elementary to Blair Middle & High School, Joel has made the most of every opportunity along his PUSD journey. His path leads him to Princeton University this fall, where he plans to study creative writing as he pursues his lifelong dream of becoming an author.

As an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme candidate, Joel developed the critical thinking, research, and communication skills that prepared him for college and beyond. Outside the classroom, he completed two Los Angeles Marathons with Blair's cross country and Students Run LA teams and found his creative voice on stage with the Blair Ovations Theatre Company and PUSD All-Star Musicals.

Joel credits his teachers, coaches, and classmates for creating a supportive community that challenged him to grow. Congratulations, Joel! From PUSD to Princeton, we can't wait to see the story you write next!
