Philly is full of talented artists and vibrant gardens! These stunning photos were part of Philadelphia Stories 250: “Out of Many, One” and featured “A Moment of Ours,” a photo of One Art by Victoria Wilcox (The Torian Lens), Digital Associate in my office. Her photo captures the joy and freedom that community gardens make possible in our city. This is why I have fought alongside land stewards to protect and fund urban farms and community gardens, especially in our most disinvested communities. I truly appreciate Creative Philadelphia for curating this exhibit and showcasing some of the beautiful people and places of Philadelphia’s cultural heritage.

The exploitation of temp workers is a major problem in Philadelphia. That’s why I’m proud to be working with Philly Black Worker Project on their All Due Respect campaign. Last week WURD Radio, I talked with Keir Bradford-Gray about why this campaign matters. Thanks for having me on the show!

We had a blast at our 9th Annual “AusomeCon” - Autism Play Date!⚡️✨

When I talk about the disability community, I’m talking about all of us. Many of us have a disability, and most of us love someone who does. We all deserve spaces where we are accepted, affirmed, and supported for who
we are.

As many of you know, before I was elected to City Council, I worked with people with disabilities, helping young people and families navigate a City that puts up far too many barriers.

All of us – across the entire spectrum of human diversity – deserve public spaces that are welcoming and accessible. By coming together in these spaces – to organize, to celebrate, and to share resources – we strengthen our community and our entire city. I am grateful to be doing this work with you all, and I hope you enjoy all of the day’s festivities.

Thank you to our incredible sponsors who made this event possible!✨

This summer, we have had some of the best interns!💜

Marissa & Amira have played such an amazing role supporting our preparation for Wingohocking Neighbor’s Day, helping a constituent get a historical marker on their block, and supporting our office operations!

Thank you both for spending your summer with us and giving the office the sweetest farewell cards. We will miss you a Waffle lot 🧇💛.

We wish you both an amazing semester!📚

Yesterday’s hearing on “Pre-K Pushout” raised many questions for me as a parent and a grandparent.

I’ve personally struggled, even as a Councilmember with the current system, so I could only imagine what other parents have to go through.

We must ensure that we secure funding for reproductive healthcare!

Earlier this year, The Philadelphia Reproductive Freedom Task Force and I created a “People’s Hearing” to listen to this exact concern. In that hearing, it was clear from the community, that we need ensure access to reproductive health, especially for our youth!

I will continue to advocate and fight for reproductive rights, as we approach our City Council session!

Thank you to the Taiwan - PHL Youth Ambassadors Program for stopping by my office!♥️

Connecting and empowering the youth has always been important to my impact.

We got a chance to talk about being in politics, from the previous Sixers Arena deal to immigration enforcement.

As we shape the future, it’s important that we center the youth!
