Tips to stay cool
Stay hydrated: 💧 Drink plenty of water. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and sugary drinks.

When you’re outside: ☀️️ AVOID working, exercising, or playing outside during the hottest part of the day (usually noon to 5 p.m.).

At home: 🏠 Use air conditioners and fans.
If you use a fan, make sure your windows are open to release trapped hot air.

⏰ Remember: Never leave older people, children, or pets alone in cars.
Check on older adults who live alone, also ReadyPhiladelphia can notify you of emergencies.

Be aware of cooling centers: ❄️ Libraries, community centers, and recreation centers

The MCOA team would like to congratulate ArchWell Health on the opening of their new location on 2131 North Broad Street. As a primary care provider for people ages 60 and over, ArchWell Health has specifically designed their new center to meet the needs of Philly's seniors.
