We were proud to represent the City of Philadelphia at the Side by Side Reentry Conference in San Diego! Collaboration and building best practices elevates the work we do in the reentry space.

Director Thomas facilitated a workshop along with First Deputy Patty Jones-Thompson who discussed reentry services in Philadelphia.

We continue to visit other cities to build synergy and source best practices. Reentry is smart public safety and the greatest tool in preventing recidivism is in providing opportunity.

We closed out June, Philadelphia’s Reentry Awareness Month, with our Philadelphia Reentry Coalition General Body Meeting, honoring active members of the Coalition during our Voices of Heroes Award Ceremony. Collaboration matters and through our strategic partnerships we’re able to provide reentry services at every level.

Our second Resource Fair during June, Philadelphia’s Reentry Awareness Month, was a success! Over 250 participants came out to connect with our partners and receive direct services.

We look forward to a strong finish to 2026, creating new paths, new opportunities and building strong futures!

June is Gun Violence Awareness month.

We’re proud to join this Saturday’s Fireside Chat on Community Violence Intervention hosted by Council President Kenyatta Johnson. This powerful event will bring together national and local experts who have dedicated their careers to reducing violence, supporting survivors, and creating opportunities for those most at risk.

Our Executive Director Assata Thomas, will join Ras J Baraka - Mayor of Newark of Newark, NJ, Jaime Meekins, founder of FAST, Stefanie Mavronis, Director of Baltimore MONSE Keisha Hudson Brooks of the Philly Defenders, Dr. Elinore Kaufman of Penn Trauma Violence Recovery Program, Scott Charles of Temple University Hospital and Omar Muse of Eddie’s House.
