This summer, our EDEY students embarked on an unforgettable safari adventure! From designing their own explorer hats to receiving flashlights and binoculars, students were fully equipped to discover the incredible safari experience handcrafted by the Summer Achievers staff. The hallways transformed into a vibrant wilderness, extending learning beyond the classroom and sparking curiosity, creativity, and imagination every step of the way.

✨🎉 What a celebration at the PHL 250 Block Party at Overbrook Educational Center!

From carnival games and colorful face painting to hands-on activities with our amazing partners from Temple University, the day was filled with unforgettable memories. Students even got to meet SEPTA’s beloved mascot, making an already exciting day even more special! 🐶🎡🎨

Here’s to celebrating Philadelphia’s 250th—one neighborhood, one school, and one smile at a time!

🎮🏁 Game on, summer! EDEY Forrest Elementary students leveled up their final days of summer camp with an unforgettable trip to Dave & Buster’s! From racing their way to the finish line and ringing the bell in strength challenges to conquering galaxies in epic space battles, every game was filled with laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition. 🏎️🔨🚀

They didn’t just play the games—they ended summer with a high score and memories that are sure to last long after the final buzzer. Here’s to a season of learning, growing, and finishing strong! 🌟💙

🎉🦉 Smiles, creativity, and plenty of fun filled the air at our McDaniel Philly 250 Block Party!
Our Summer Achievers scholars spent the day creating crafts, enjoying hands-on activities, making memories with friends, and showing off their best dance moves alongside Temple University’s very own Ho**er the Owl. From start to finish, the celebration was packed with joy, community spirit, and unforgettable moments. ✨

Another amazing Philadelphia250 Block Party for the books! Mayor Parker, Superintendent Watlington, and Dr. Carrera joined students and the whole community as they celebrated the 250th anniversary of the nation and a great day of fun and learning at Duckrey, one of our Extended Day, Extended Year schools where the Mayor's Office of Education and partners extend opportunities for discovery beyond the school year.
