As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to an end, we’re reflecting on what it truly means to build community and pass the torch forward.

This quote from our Program Coordinator, Melissa, reminds us that mentorship isn't just about guidance—it’s about preserving legacy, opening doors, and ensuring the next generation has the support they need to thrive.

You can be that inspiration and pave the way with Caminos. Learn how you can become a mentor at the link in bio. 💜🧡

Every experience we design at New Pathways for Youth is driven by one question: How can we connect more deeply and authentically with our community?

When designing Flores y Sabores to celebrate Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month, every detail was rooted in purpose. Hosted by our Caminos Committee, the experience leveraged what research calls the triadic focal point—a shared creative activity that lets people pause, reflect, regulate emotional overload, and rejoin conversation with ease.

Yesterday, our volunteers and committee members didn’t just craft vibrant Mexican paper flowers—they cultivated safe, joyful spaces for genuine dialogue and cultural belonging, mirroring the very way we show up for our youth every day.

Thank you to our Caminos Committee and everyone who joined our circle and shared their morning with us. 🧡

💜 Our next Caminos event is coming this November. Stay tuned!

Representation changes everything. When young people see leaders who share their culture and lived experiences, "someday" turns into "I can do this."

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we are celebrating the power of relatable role models in shaping brighter futures. Hearing from mentors who walk in similar shoes helps our youth see what is truly possible for their own lives.

You can be that inspiration and pave the way with Caminos. Your journey, your culture, and your story can help a young person realize their full potential. Learn more about becoming a Caminos mentor today: npfy.org/caminos! 💜🧡
