Teens, stop by the Port Huron/Main Library on June 10, 15, and 17 at 10 a.m. for this workshop series, where we will learn the ins and outs of astrophotography and optical astronomy, take beautiful space images, process and colorize them, and explore the science behind it all. On Saturday, June 6, you have two opportunities to enjoy Irish singer-songwriter Enda Reilly for a virtual tour of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way through song and story, featuring the No.1 hit " All Along the Wild Atlantic Way”, co-written with Aoife Scott. Following a successful cultural trip to Dublin, this program offers a vivid musical journey along Ireland's western shores ahead of a planned Wild Atlantic Way visit in 2027. This concert will be at the Don Dodge at 11 a.m.. The Don Dodge Auditorium is located at 200 Grand River Ave. This is the building directly south of the Main Library, across the street. The concert will be repeated later in the afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Marine City Library.

Country Blues Narrative With Songs

Stop by the Burtchville Twp. Library on Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m. and the Marine City Library on Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m., for a trip to the world of country blues, featuring guitarist Leonardo Gianolo. This program will be a journey through the beginning of Blues music, told through a timeline narrative and songs. There will be examples of some of the first recorded Blues songs all the way through the late 1930's. Also covered is how these songs influenced post-war music. Leonardo has been performing and giving workshops in the Detroit area for 20 years. He is endorsed by the National Reso-Phonic Guitar Company. He plays his guitars in open tunings. His primary musical focus is solo, acoustic country blues.
