Employers: We provide hiring help including the Maine JobLink--our free job matching service, interview rooms, job fairs, on-site recruitments, bonding of at-risk hires, help with Work OpportunityTax Credits, and many other services as well as layoff support. We also can connect you with many types of training and many programs include funding for the training.

The Defense & Manufacturing Training Fund is putting $7.2 million behind one goal: helping Maine manufacturers train, upskill, and build the skilled workforce they need for today and tomorrow.

Eligible employers in defense shipbuilding, the defense supply chain, and advanced manufacturing can receive reimbursement of up to $8,000 per employee for qualifying training.

That can mean:

🔹 Launching or expanding an apprenticeship program

🔹 Upskilling your current workforce

🔹 Training new hires for skilled positions

🔹 Building skills in welding, machining, quality control, automation, engineering, and more

🔹 Helping employees earn industry-recognized credentials
