ā€œI read and LOVED Tricia Hersey's ā€˜Rest is Resistance’ last year. While checking in new books, I noticed ā€˜Bloom How You Must: A Black Woman’s Guide to Self-Care and Generational Healing’ by Tara Pringle Jefferson. It looks like a great companion piece to Hersey's work and I cannot wait to check it out!ā€- Calvert Library Librarian, Mobile Services

Stop in and enjoy the Art in the Stacks display this month from Gisele Mitima at the Twin Beaches Branch. Gisele is one of our librarians here who likes to paint just for fun. Most of her art depicts beautiful nature and her culture. Born and raised in Africa, she loves to draw what life looks like in a typical village in Africa, away from technology.
