Today is the last day to sign up for the Strong Families: Financial Empowerment Series.

The free 7 week program meets Tuesday evenings, September 15 through November 3 at our Empowerment Center at 50 Valley Street in Providence, covering budgeting, saving, banking basics, smart spending, family financial planning, and goal setting, with one on one financial coaching alongside the classes. Children ages 7 to 17 join their families for selected sessions.

Families who complete the program earn up to $550 by the end of the course.

Hoy es el último día para apuntarse a Familias Fuertes: Serie de Empoderamiento Financiero.

El programa gratuito de 7 semanas se reúne los días martes por la tarde, del 15 de Septiembre al 3 de Noviembre en nuestro Empowerment Center en 50 Valley Street, Providence, y cubre cómo hacer un presupuesto, ahorrar, usar una cuenta bancaria, gastar de manera inteligente, planificar las finanzas de la familia y establecer metas, con apoyo financiero individual que acompaña las clases. Los niños y jóvenes de 7 a 17 años participan junto a sus familias en algunas de las sesiones.

Las familias que completan el programa reciben hasta $550 al terminar el curso.

Supplies, shoes, schedules, and a grocery routine that shifts the second school starts back up.

Support is available for that last part, and finding out what it looks like takes one call, whenever the day allows.

Los niños y jóvenes de 7 a 17 años asisten a algunas de las sesiones de Familias Fuertes: Serie de Empoderamiento Financiero junto a su padre, madre o tutor.

Aprenden cómo se mueve el dinero en la casa estando en el mismo cuarto mientras su familia arma el plan. Ahorrar, gastar y establecer una meta, todo hablado en voz alta y no en un lugar que ellos nunca ven.

El programa de 7 semanas es gratuito, cada familia recibe apoyo individual de un asesor financiero de principio a fin, y las familias que lo completan reciben hasta $550. Las sesiones son los días martes por la tarde, del 15 de Septiembre al 3 de Noviembre, en nuestro Empowerment Center en 50 Valley Street, Providence.

Children ages 7 to 17 come to selected sessions of the Strong Families: Financial Empowerment Series alongside their parents or guardians.

They learn how money actually moves through a household by sitting in the same room while their family makes the plan. Saving, spending, and setting a goal, all of it discussed out loud rather than happening somewhere they never see.

The 7 week program is free, every family works with a financial coach the whole way through, and families who complete it earn up to $550. Sessions are Tuesday evenings, September 15 through November 3, at our Empowerment Center at 50 Valley Street in Providence.

There's free help for the forms, the documents, and every question that comes up along the way. And the call doesn't have to happen on a lunch break or between shifts.

You will be connected to application support, eligibility information, and food resources near you.

Confirm your polling location. Have one of the accepted photo IDs ready: driver's license, passport, military ID, RIPTA pass, or student ID. Then decide whether you are voting early or on the day itself.

Early voting stays open through September 8 if September 9 is difficult.

Families who complete the Strong Families: Financial Empowerment Series earn up to $550 by the end of the course.

The goal setting and family financial planning sessions are where families decide what they are working toward. Some are building an emergency fund. Some are paying down a balance. The coach helps each family shape the plan around what they already have in motion.

That work runs Tuesday evenings, September 15 through November 3 in Providence, and it is free to take part.

Las familias que completan Familias Fuertes: Serie de Empoderamiento Financiero reciben hasta $550 al terminar el curso.

En las sesiones sobre cómo establecer metas y planificar las finanzas de la familia, cada familia decide hacia qué está trabajando. Algunas están creando un fondo de emergencia. Otras están pagando una deuda. El asesor ayuda a cada familia a armar un plan alrededor de lo que ya viene haciendo.

Ese trabajo se lleva a cabo los días martes por la tarde, del 15 de Septiembre al 3 de Noviembre en Providence, y participar es gratis.
