The Redding Women’s Rodeo Association has been around for more than 60 years. We promote rodeo and the western way of life.

Our meetings are held at the Redding Rodeo Clubhouse, 715 Auditorium Drive on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00p.m.

📍 REDDING RODEO GROUNDS | REDDING, CALIFORNIA

On May 20, 1988, legendary bull rider Lane Frost made history at the Redding Rodeo by riding the legendary Red Rock for EIGHT SECONDS! 🐂🔥

🤠 THE COWBOY: Lane Frost was the 1987 PRCA World Champion Bull Rider.

🐂 THE BULL: Red Rock, owned by the Growney Brothers, was the 1987 PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year. Red Rock had gone unridden through hundreds of attempts before Lane Frost made his historic eight-second ride! 🤯🏆

🔥 Their legendary Challenge of Champions series ended with Lane winning 4–3!

AND HERE'S THE REALLY COOL PART!

The original bucking chute associated with that historic ride is preserved right here at the Redding Rodeo grounds! It's a piece of Western history sitting in our own backyard!

Lane Frost tragically passed away in 1989 at just 25 years old, but his legacy lives on. 💔 Red Rock was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 1990.

🤠 THIS IS WHY I LOVE SHARING LOCAL HISTORY! We have incredible stories right here in the Northstate, and I want to help keep them alive!

🤠❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU! ❤️🤠

A heartfelt thank-you to all the volunteers from all four Redding Rodeo clubs — RRA, RRAA, RWRA, and RJRA — along with our 2027 Miss Redding Rodeo, Emma Farmer, for helping make the 2026 FoRR Gala a tremendous success!

We are beyond grateful for the incredible Gala Committee, whose hard work, dedication, and vision have created a new must-attend event in the North State! You are all amazing, and your efforts truly shine! 🌟

It takes a special team to make an event like this happen, and we are proud to be part of such a great rodeo family. Thank you to everyone who pitched in, lent a hand, and helped make the evening unforgettable!

We’re already looking forward to next year! Until then, keep that Western spirit alive! 🤠❤️

Our favorite time of year besides Rodeo Week

A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT IN REDDING!

The Sundial Bridge is glowing pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, lighting up the Sacramento River and bringing our community together for a meaningful cause.

Just steps away from the Redding Rodeo Grounds, this is another reminder of what makes our community so special. From the rodeo arena to the Sundial Bridge, we’re fortunate to live in a place where people come together to support one another.

Tonight, we celebrate the fighters, honor the survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and stand with everyone affected by breast cancer.

We’re proud to call Redding home!

👑🤠❤️ A Night to Celebrate Miss Redding Rodeo! ❤️🤠👑

Last night was a special evening as we celebrated our outgoing 2026 Miss Redding Rodeo, Kiana Kinnie, and proudly crowned our 2027 Miss Redding Rodeo, Emma Farmer!

Kiana, thank you for representing Redding Rodeo with such grace and poise! You are an incredible young woman, and we feel so fortunate to have been a small part of your journey. You have made us proud, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! ❤️

Emma, the crown is yours! You have already shown us that you have the grit, grace, and heart to represent Redding Rodeo. We are so excited to watch you take the reins and see all that this next year has in store for you! 👑🤠

To the four Redding Rodeo clubs, thank you, as always, for showing up, standing together, and supporting the very best in the West! And to all our guests who joined us last night… WOW! What a wonderful evening filled with support, friendship, and rodeo spirit!

Finally, to our Miss Redding Rodeo Queens Committee — you ladies are simply the best! The time, dedication, and heart you pour into this program are immeasurable. A simple thank-you hardly seems enough for all you do, but please know how deeply appreciated you are! ❤️

Here’s to celebrating a wonderful queen, welcoming a new one, and keeping the Western spirit alive and well!
