Wow! πŸ™Œ We are sending high fives to the 60 physicians and volunteers who made our 3rd annual Biggest Little Skin Cancer Screening last Thursday possible. This crew of fantastic humans helped more than 200 northern Nevada residents with FREE skin checks. We're still tallying the results of the event, but suffice it to say, we are grateful for everyone that gave their time.

Firefighters put their health on the line every day β€” and cancer remains one of the most serious risks they face.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is leading the National Firefighter Registry for Cancer, the largest effort ever to better understand how firefighting impacts cancer risk and how to reduce it.

All U.S. firefighters can join β€” active, retired or former β€” with or without a cancer diagnosis. That includes structural, wildland, volunteer, industrial and military firefighters. Participation from those without cancer is just as important to help researchers identify patterns and prevention strategies.

It takes about 5 minutes to get started.

This No Menthol May, we’re joining Get Healthy Clark County in raising awareness about the harmful impact of menthol to***co products and the disproportionate toll they continue to take on Black communities.

Menthol makes to***co easier to start and harder to quit, and menthol to***co products are heavily marketing to the Black community. Today, about 90% of Black adults who smoke use menthol ci******es.

Learn more about how menthol, and to***co in general, impacts Black Nevadans at BecauseWeMatterLV.org.
