In honor of ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐, weโre tackling one of the great debates of our time:
For decades, the clean-shaven officer was pretty much the standard in American policing. Beards were often prohibited altogether, and grooming policies were built around a very traditional definition of a professional police appearance.
Times โ and mustaches โ have changed. ๐
Today, many law enforcement agencies allow officers to have beards and other facial hair,
Grooming policies commonly include rules about things like:
Maximum beard length
Neat, trimmed, and professional appearance
Defined cheek and neckline areas
No unusual shapes, patterns, or styles
Restrictions when facial hair interferes with required safety equipment, such as respirators
In other words:
But that got us wondering...
What would some of our officers look like if there were
Naturally, we turned to AI. And naturally, we may have gotten a little carried away. ๐
So, R***e, we need you to settle this.

Happy World Beard Day!
