Welcome to campus, students! We hope your first week has gone well. Here's a reminder to add mini golf at the library to your schedule for next Thursday!

Come to the library for a mini golf tournament! Learn about campus departments through themed greens and grab some fun giveaways (while supplies last). The winners of the tournament will win a free t-shirt from Campus Rec! Free admission. A Falcon 5 event. (Details are also on Falcons Connect.)

Welcome back to campus to everyone who is returning this week and next: we have varied hours during this transition into fall semester. You can view our hours on our website at https://students.uwrf.edu/library

Here's the run-down of upcoming hours:
8/24 - 28, Monday - Friday: 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
8/29, Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
8/30, Sunday: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
8/31, Monday: 7:45 a.m. - 6 p.m.
9/1, Tuesday: 7:45 a.m. - 7 p.m.
9/2 - Begin Standard Fall Semester Hours

Congratulations to Stephanie Trinidad on receiving the Sally Margis University Staff Development Award! Stephanie is a library services assistant in the Chalmer Davee Library and main contact for resource sharing. She will be using her award to complete the Certificate in Disability Access and Inclusion from Library Juice Academy. We are so proud of you, Stephanie!

It is widely believed that the Liberty Bell was rung to mark the adoption of the Declaration of Independence , July 8, 1776.

The 2,080-pound bronze bell bears the inscription, "Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants thereof Lev. XXV X

By Order of the ASSEMBLY of the Province of PENSYLVANIA [sic] for the State House in Philada”
