The City of Riverbank has received certification from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) for its 6th Cycle Housing Element.

This past Friday, August 14, 2026, City Staff received a letter from HCD confirming that the Housing Element adopted by the City Council on June 23, 2026 and the City’s related rezoning actions substantially comply with State Housing Element Law.

This milestone supports Riverbank’s continued housing efforts and helps the City meet eligibility requirements for important state and regional funding programs.

Thank you to our community, City Council, Planning Commission and the entire housing element update team for their participation throughout this process.

La Ciudad de Riverbank recibió la certificación del Departamento de Vivienda y Desarrollo Comunitario de California para su Elemento de Vivienda del Sexto Ciclo.

🚧 Roselle Avenue is reopening ahead of schedule! 👏

As part of the North County Corridor Project, Roselle Avenue between Claribel Road and Plainview Road will reopen to traffic on Monday, August 17, 2026.

This early opening marks an exciting milestone as work continues to move forward along the corridor.

🚗 What drivers need to know:
* One lane will be open in each direction
* A stop sign will remain in place at Plainview Road
* Posted speed limit will be 25 mph
* Intermittent closures may still occur as construction continues

Please continue to use caution, slow down through the construction area, and watch for crews and changing traffic conditions.
