We remind people to please stay outside the fenced area so that the folks making it happen can focus on getting their work done by early next summer.

Access help from mentors who have been there and from co-op students who can help with projects that you need.

Just a reminder to please stay outside the fenced area at Buoy Park/Middle Pier so that the folks making it happen can focus on getting their work done by early next summer. During work hours, the gate stays open to allow construction vehicles to come and go. Though it might be tempting to drive on through to take a peek, it slows the project down.

Volunteers needed!

Volunteers Needed: Help Welcome Cruise Ship Visitors to Rockland!

PortShare Promise is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help welcome cruise ship visitors to Rockland beginning Sunday, September 6.

This community partnership is working to make cruise days better for residents, local businesses, visitors, and communities throughout the Midcoast. This season, four different cruise ships will make stops in Rockland, including one larger ship that will visit our harbor four times during September and October.

For each arrival, we'll have a Welcome & Information Tent where volunteers will:

✔️ Greet cruise ship visitors
✔️ Answer questions about Rockland and the Midcoast
✔️ Offer suggestions for local dining and shopping
✔️ Share ideas for things to see and do
✔️ Help visitors have a great experience while they're here

No experience is needed! All volunteers will receive training, including a Volunteer Guide and in-person training sessions.
