Had a great visit with the California National Guard to learn more about STARBASE and the important work happening at our local armory.

Programs like STARBASE inspire the next generation of students through hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and math while connecting young people with opportunities to serve and lead.

I want to thank Congressman Mike Thompson & Congressman Ami Bera for joining me today to celebrate the passage of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.

Housing costs are squeezing Sacramento families and putting homeownership further out of reach.

Last month, Congress acted. The bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act became law despite the President's opposition, passing 85–5 in the Senate and 358–32 in the House. Now it's time to deliver. I'll fight to fund it, hold HUD accountable, and make sure Sacramento leads the way.

In April, my colleagues and I forced a vote in the House to extend their protected status. And we won it. The Senate NEEDS to act immediately.

It was great to join veterans and first responders at the California State Fair to recognize the people who put service before self every day.

Thanks to Sutter’s continued investment in our region, more families will have access to high-quality care closer to home. This new center will expand access to critical services, strengthen our healthcare system, and help ensure our growing community has the care it needs for years to come.

Congratulations to the entire Sutter Health team on this exciting milestone. I look forward to seeing the impact this new center will have across the Elk Grove community.
